REVEAL at Solar World Congress 2025
The REVEAL project was proudly represented at the Solar World Congress 2025, held from 3–7 November in Fortaleza, Brazil — one of the world’s leading conferences for solar energy research and innovation. Organized by the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), the event brought together global experts, policymakers, and researchers to discuss the latest advances in solar technologies and their role in the global energy transition.
On November 6, REVEAL partners contributed to the session Solar Thermal Applications and Storage, chaired by Jianhua Fan from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In this session, Yvonne Isabell Bäuerle from OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences delivered a presentation entitled “Aluminium as a Means for Chemically Storing and Transporting Renewable Energies.”
The presentation, co-authored by Michel Haller, Yvonne Bäuerle, Miren Agote Aran, Jan Huppi, Erik Leukens, Eline Willems, and Andreas Häberle, showcased how aluminum can be used as a medium for chemical energy storage — providing a promising pathway to store and transport renewable energy efficiently and sustainably. This innovative approach, developed in collaboration with SPF, OST, and Pré Sustainability, aligns perfectly with REVEAL’s mission to advance renewable energy storage solutions for a decarbonized future.
We are proud of our colleagues for their contributions and their role in representing REVEAL’s vision on a global stage. Their participation highlights the importance of European research collaboration in driving forward solar innovation worldwide.
