REVEAL at the KIFEE-12

From October 5th to 7th, 2025, the 12th Kyoto International Forum for Environment and Energy (KIFEE-12) was held at Reykjavík University, bringing together 80 participants from Japan, Norway, and Iceland. This long-running symposium series serves as a vital platform for exchanging ideas on sustainable technologies and advancing international cooperation on energy and environmental research.

The REVEAL project was proudly represented through several contributions by its partners, reflecting the project’s leading role in the development of innovative, climate-neutral energy storage solutions.

At the Electrochemistry and Advanced Inorganic Materials (EAIM) workshop, Daníel Þór Gunnarsson from IceTec presented “IceTec’s Inert Electrode Development in REVEAL”, outlining the team’s advancements in electrode materials that enhance the performance and durability of metal-based energy systems.

In the Process Engineering (PE) workshop, Rauan Meirbekova presented “Metal Fuel: Towards Climate-Neutral Energy Storage”, emphasizing the potential of metal fuels to enable long-term, sustainable energy storage and transport — a key topic within REVEAL’s research focus.

Additionally, IceTec represented at the project’s stand, engaging with symposium participants and discussing the project’s objectives and results. Arctus, another REVEAL partner, also attended and presented their ongoing work, further reinforcing the consortium’s collaborative spirit and commitment to innovation.
