REVEAL at Metalot@Work June 2025
On 19 June 2025, the REVEAL project proudly contributed to the Metalot@Work June 2025 event, organised by Metalot, which brought together leading experts exploring the use of metals as sustainable energy carriers. Our project was represented by Dr. Yvonne Bäuerle from OST, who delivered an online presentation titled State of the Art in Aluminium-Water Reaction for Peak Demand in Buildings.
Her session explored the potential of aluminium-water reactions to meet fluctuating energy needs in the built environment, an innovative concept that aligns with REVEAL’s mission to develop decarbonised, circular, and efficient material flows. Yvonne’s contribution showcased ongoing developments within REVEAL and demonstrated how our project fits into the wider energy transition conversation.
At the Metalot@Work event, topics included aluminium combustion and battery technologies, as well as magnesium and zinc cycles as alternative energy carriers. It provided a key platform for sharing insights and strengthening collaboration among European research communities working towards a sustainable energy future.
We extend our thanks to Metalot for hosting this informative and forward-looking event and look forward to sharing more outcomes from REVEAL’s involvement in cutting-edge materials innovation.
