Kick-off Meeting in Reykjavik, Island

The REVEAL project kicked off in Reykjavik, Island on 7 - 8 July 2022 hosted by the coordinator Páll Árnason from IceTec. The gathering started off with a warm welcome by the coordinator of the project Páll Árnason and the technical coordinator Michel Haller from OST with a short introduction to the project.
The following day focused on dissemination strategies including website development, logo design, promotional materials, and social media engagement. Stakeholder communication, project organization, and management, as well as scheduling of meetings, were diligently planned.
Participants also gained insights into aluminium production, global forecasts, and challenges at the Nordural primary aluminium smelter. The coordinator thanked all attendees, bringing the productive meeting to a close.
The meeting began with the participant's introduction and a short presentation from Páll on the partner’s roles and the project obligations for the next four months. After the introduction of the consortium and the project, the company DTE which is located on the same premises was introduced and their invention of “real-time” molten aluminium analysis.
Next, the technical coordinator presented the project concept, objectives, and technical work timeline as a whole for four years as well as the data management was discussed. The day concluded with a social dinner, providing partners with the opportunity to connect.
